Day 02: Trek from Naggar to Rumsu and continue to Stelling

Altitude: 2150m to 1350 m

Trek distance: 8-9 kms

  • Drive to Rumsu Village and trek starts from Rumsu to stelling.
  • Enjoy the scenic walk amidst blue pine, deodar, walnut, golden oak, and wild cherry trees.
  • Take a break for a mouth-watering packed lunch.
  • Follow a clear path to Stelling pastures, approximately 1350 meters high.
  • Conclude the trekking journey, lasting 5-6 hours.
  •  Enjoy the dinner and spend the night sleeping in tents under the starlit sky.
Day 03: Stelling to Chiklani Basecamp

Altitude : 3450 m
Trek distance: 8-9 kms
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

  • Start your hike from Stelling and Ghalkrari pastures, surrounded by lively wildlife.
  • Admire the beauty of birch trees and enjoy the earthy fragrance they emit.
  • Later, during the Chanderkhani Pass trek, steadily ascend to Chiklani basecamp, situated around 3450 meters above sea level.
  • Capture memorable pictures under the soft moonlight.
  • Enjoy the dinner and rest for the night in cozy tents.
Day 04: Chiklani Basecamp to Chanderkhani Pass to Nagruni Thach

Altitude : 3650 m
Trek distance: 12-14 kms
Trek Duration: 5-7 hrs

  • Enjoy stunning views of snowy mountains and beautiful valleys during your trek.
  • First, climb up to Dhalakda Pathar and then up the ridge to Chanderkhani Pass.
  • From the pass, see the amazing Bara Bangal range to the west, Pir Panjal to the north, and Parvati to the east.
  • Descend towards Nagruni, where the trail is steeper than the climb to the pass.
  • Watch for sheep grazing along the way.
  • Carefully make your way to the camping area at Nagruni and set up tents for the night.
  • Enjoy the dinner and rest for the night in cozy tents.
Day 05:Trek from Nagruni Thach to Malana

Altitude : 2600m
Trek distance:12-13 km
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

  • Walk downhill from Nagruni to Malana, which might be steep at times.
  • Enjoy the peaceful trek through forests filled with different kinds of conifer trees.
  • Visit Malana Village, located at 2600 meters above sea level, and meet the local people.
  • After dinner, set up tents to spend the night.
Day 06: Descend down to Malana Gate , then Drive to Manikaran and Kullu

Trekking duration:  1 hour.

Driving duration:  2.5 to 3 hours.

  • Begin the day by trekking downhill on a well-marked path towards Jari.
  • Descend through fields and then pass through a forest of Deodar trees.
  • Reach Manala Nallah and cross the gorge area to arrive at the Manala Power project site.
  • Drive to Kullu via Manikaran.
  • Arrive in Kullu, marking the end of your Chanderkhani Pass trekking journey
