  • This marks the beginning of your trekking adventure. You’ll arrive at Chetti Base Camp, which serves as the starting point for the Hampta Pass Trek.
  • Chetti Base Camp is located near Naggar and sits at an altitude of approximately 6,700 feet above sea level.
  • Upon arrival, you’ll check into your accommodation and have some time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
  • This day is primarily dedicated to relaxation and preparation for the upcoming trek.
Day 02: Drive from Chetti to Chika via Jobra

Altitude: 6,700 to 10100ft
Trek distance: Approx 20 kms
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

  • After an early breakfast, drive from Chetti to Jobra, the starting point of the trek. It takes around 2 hours to reach Jobra.
  • From Jobra, begin the trek to Chika, a gradual ascent through scenic landscapes of lush greenery and pine forests.
  • The trek to Chika takes about 2-3 hours, covering a distance of approximately 4 km.
  • Set up camp upon arrival in Chika and spend the evening relaxing amidst the stunning natural surroundings.
  • Overnight camping at Chika.
Day 03: Chika To Balu ka Ghera

Altitude: 11900 ft 12900 ft

Trek distance: 7-8 km

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

  • Start your trek from Chika to Balu Ka Ghera, which will take around 4-5 hours.
  • The trail passes through lush green meadows, river crossings, and scenic landscapes.
  • Arrive at Balu Ka Ghera, a beautiful campsite surrounded by towering mountains.
  • Spend the evening enjoying the breathtaking views and acclimatizing to the altitude.
Day 04:Balu Ka Ghera to Shea Goru -Hampta pass

Trek distance: 6-7 kms approx.
Trek Duration: 8-9 hours

  • Today’s trek involves a steep ascent to Hampta Pass .
  • Reach the summit of Hampta Pass and soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
  • Descend towards Shea Goru.
  • Set up your camp at Shea Goru and spend the night amidst the tranquil Himalayan landscape.
Day 05: Shea Goru to Chatru And drive to Chandratal Lake

Altitude: 11,000 ft
Trek distance: 7 kms
Trek Duration: 5 hours to 6 hours

  • Trek from Shea Goru to Chatru, which is a relatively easy descent and takes about 3-4 hours.
  • From Chatru, drive to Chandratal Lake (Approx. 2-3 hours).
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the mesmerizing Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake, nestled amidst the high mountains.
  • Camp overnight in chatru at the star-studded sky.
Day 06: Chatru to Manali by Atal tunnel

Altitude: 10,499 ft to 6,726 ft

  • Drive or arrange for transportation from Chhatru to Manali.

YOU HAVE TO REACH THE BASE CAMP(CHETTI)

By Air:

 

  • The nearest airport to Chetti Naggar is Bhuntar Airport, also known as Kullu-Manali Airport (IATA: KUU).
  • Once you land at Bhuntar Airport, you’ll need to travel by road to reach
  • Chetti Naggar, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. You can hire a taxi or use public transport like buses. The journey typically takes around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions.

By Road:

 

  • From Delhi: Chetti Naggar is approximately 500 kilometers from Delhi. To travel by road, you can either drive yourself or hire a taxi. The route takes you through cities like Chandigarh, Mandi, and Kullu. It usually takes around 12-14 hours to cover this distance, depending on traffic and road conditions.
  • From Manali: If you’re starting your journey from Manali, Chetti Naggar is around 20-25 kilometers away. You can hire a taxi or use local buses to reach Chetti Naggar from Manali. The journey typically takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours by road.

By Train:

 

  • The nearest major railway station to Chetti Naggar is Chandigarh Railway Station. From Chandigarh, you’ll need to continue your journey by road, either by taking a bus or hiring a taxi. The distance between Chandigarh and Chetti Naggar is around 300 kilometers, and it usually takes around 8-9 hours to cover this distance by road.
  • Alternatively, you can take a train to Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is the nearest narrow gauge railway station. However, after reaching Joginder Nagar, you’ll still need to travel by road to reach Chetti Naggar, which is approximately 130 kilometers away.
